    The general development labs consist of Dell Precision Workstations, configured as follows:

    • Dougan 110
      • 30 Dell 360 Workstations (single CPU)

        2. 1GB (2x512MB or 4x256MB) DDR400 ECC RAM

        5. Gb NIC
        6. 48X/32X/48X CD-RW IDE drive
        7. 2 front, 4 rear USB 2.0 ports
        8. no speaker

    • Science Building 106
      • 39 Dell 370 Workstations (single CPU)

        1. Pentium 3Ghz Intel EM64T, 2M L2 Cache 800 FSB
        2. 2x512MB 533Mhz DDR2 ECC
        3. 40GB SATA, 7200 RPM hard drive
        4. nVidia, Quadro NVS 280, PCI-E, 64MB, dual monitor capable (VGA/DVI)
        5. Gb NIC
        6. 16X DVD+/-RW IDE drive
        7. 2 front, 4 rear USB 2.0 ports

    • Science Building 108
      • 14 Dell 360 Workstations (single CPU)

        (same specs as those in DOU110)

      • 8 Dell 370 Workstations (single CPU)

        (same specs as those in SCI106)

    Computer Engineering Projects Lab

    The Computer Engineering Projects Lab is intended for CES seniors to have dedicated workstations and equipment for their senior projects.

    Here is a list of the computer hardware components:

        2. Tyan Thunder K8WE Mainboard

          • dual-processor capable
          • capable of up to 16GB RAM with both processors installed
          • two 1Gb NICs (with second processor)
          • Dual PCI Express x16 slots
          • DVD ROM drive
          • removable PATA hard disk drive bay (only one IDE connector)
          • USB 2.0
          • Firewire 400
          • SATA II connectors inside
          • one serial port (no parallel port)

        3. 2x512MB PC3200 DDR ECC Registered RAM
        4. generic PCI-based VGA video card
        5. Silverstone Temjin EATX case
        6. AMS Mercury 460W power supply
        7. USB boot and PXE support in BIOS
        8. generic floppy diskette drive
